Corrosion Inhibitor BS 6580 is an ethylene-glycol-based coolant formulated with corrosion-inhibiting additives, free of nitrite, amine, silicate, borate and phosphate, supplied as a clear liquid ranging from light yellow to amber in its uncoloured form (a dye can be added on request).
Characteristics
Provides corrosion protection for the metals and alloys found in internal combustion engine cooling systems, and meets the British standard BS 6580:2010 and ASTM D3306.
Applications
Used as a ready-to-mix coolant/antifreeze concentrate, blended with water at 30-60% by volume, suitable for industrial and marine internal combustion engines.
