Lubricating oil for medium-speed marine diesel engines running light fuel

Shell Gadinia S3 30 is a high quality multipurpose diesel engine lubricant, specially formulated for marine piston engines, for use as main machine or auxiliary machine works in the harshest conditions, burn with light fuels, biofuels and mixed fuels with 0.1% sulfur.

Newly formulated oils are also optimally used in non-engine applications Commonly encountered on deck as gearboxes, clutches, air tubes...

 

Features & benefits

High oil life

• Excellent anti-oxidation and thermal stability, helping to prolong usage time, especially in engines with harsh operating conditions.

Engine protection

• Extends engine life by reducing the formation of solid deposits on the piston ring grooves and cylinder walls, reducing the risk of piston rings sticking and breaking.
• Special formula limits the formation of sludge, helping to better control oil consumption and reduce operating costs.

Maintain system performance

• Prevents overload and incomplete combustion, protects high-load bearings, even when the oil is contaminated with water.
• Good water resistance and water separation, helping the oil maintain its performance when passing through the separator.
• Approved for use in deck applications such as gearboxes, clutches and propeller shaft sleeves, helping to reduce the inventory of various oils on board.

Main applications

• Avoid skin contact. Use waterproof gloves when handling used oil.
