Irgamet® 39 is manufactured by BASF Group (Germany) and imported and distributed directly by Viet Duc Joint Stock Company.
Irgamet 39 is a benzotriazole derivative (1H-Benzotriazole-1-methanamine, N,N-bis(2-ethylhexyl)-ar-methyl-), supplied as a light yellow to brown liquid with an amine-like odour.
Characteristics
Effectively inhibits the catalytic effect of copper and copper alloys on oil oxidation, prevents sulfur-induced blackening/staining at high temperatures, shows good synergy with Irganox-type antioxidants, and remains effective at very low treat rates.
Applications
Used in transmission fluids, industrial gear oils, hydraulic fluids, turbine oils, refrigeration compressor oils, marine lubricants, greases, and metalworking fluids.
