Shell Rimula R4 X is designed to deliver 3 protection functions to improve oil and engine life. Oil helps reduce maintenance costs and increase vehicle reliability. Suitable for most heavy duty diesel engines in transport or construction applications.

1. Acid and corrosion control

• Shell Rimula R4 X provides excellent acid control, helping to reduce acid build-up and chemical corrosion of engine bearings.
• Harmful acids from fuel combustion are controlled by carefully selected detergent additives, which help prevent corrosion of metal surfaces.

2. Reduce engine wear

• Shell Rimula R4
• Anti-wear additives help create a protective film between contact metal surfaces.
• Soot dispersing additives help keep soot particles extremely small, helping to prevent wear.

3. Control residue

• Shell Rimula R4 X helps prevent oil thickening and the formation of harmful deposits in engines, including sludge and piston deposits.
• Optimized dispersant and detergent additive system keeps the engine cleaner than other products Shell Rimula R3 before.

1. Heavy duty & extra heavy duty diesel engine

• Protects and operates well on large capacity diesel engines from American, Japanese, and European manufacturers.
• Suitable for both transport and construction site applications.

2. New technology engine reduces emissions

• Meets emissions standards Euro 5, 4, 3, 2 and US 2002.
• For engines fitted with a diesel soot filter (DPF), use is recommended Shell Rimula R4 L or Shell Rimula R5 LE.

1. Health and safety

• Shell Rimula R4 X does not pose a significant hazard when used as recommended.
• Avoid direct contact with skin. Use impermeable gloves when handling used oil.
• If skin contact occurs, wash immediately with soap and water.

2. Environmental protection

• Collect used oil to designated collection points.
• Do not discharge into sewers, ground or water sources.

 

Flexible for many applications

An oil that can be used for engines, transmissions and hydraulic systems of construction machinery when the manufacturer allows. This simplifies oil storage and reduces confusion when filling oil.
