• Rust Proof Oil is a low viscosity, rust protective oil containing oxidation and corrosion inhibitors and diluted with a petroleum solvent for ease of application. • Rust Proof Oil designed for the temporary rust protection of steel in covered, storage or packaged shipment.

Can include; • Temporary protection of sheet steel, hand tools, small parts, bearings and highly machined surfaces under relatively mild conditions of indoor storage, packaged shipment or interprocess handling. May be applied by brush, dip or spray. Where rusting conditions are severe, Rust Proof Compound is recommended.

Good short-term rust protection

Low viscosity oil provides widespread coverage of metal surfaces for greatest protection against oxidation and corrosion. After evaporation of the solvent, a thin, highly protective, non-drying oily film remains to protect the metal. Oxidation and corrosion inhibitors in the oil resist chemical attack by air, water, other fluids and particulate matter.

Easy application

Low viscosity assures easy application, widespread coverage and fast drain-off of excess oil. High volatility of the solvent ensures rapid evaporation, minimizing postapplication dripping.

Easy Removal

Thin transparent oily film is readily soluble in petroleum solvents to enable easy removal when required.
