T 16 2 is manufactured by BASF Group (Germany) and imported and distributed directly by Viet Duc Joint Stock Company.
T 162 is a spherical alumina ball, sintered at temperatures well over 1900°C, achieving essentially 100% alpha alumina (corundum) purity, with a plate-like/tabular crystal structure and a relatively smooth surface, available in a range of sizes from 1/8" to 2".
Characteristics
High hardness (Mohs 9), heat resistant up to 1900°C, low apparent porosity and water absorption, chemically inert, and mechanically stable under sustained high load and temperature.
Applications
Used as inert catalyst bed support, desiccant bed support, thermal reservoir media in petroleum refining and petrochemical operations, heat distribution media in pebble heaters, and ballast to prevent displacement in gas/liquid streams.
