Shell Tellus S2 VX are high quality hydraulic oils, specifically formulated from Group II base oils, providing outstanding protection and performance over a wide operating temperature range.

• Resists decomposition due to temperature and mechanical stress.
• Ideally suited for most mobile hydraulic equipment as well as applications that require work in environments with a wide temperature range.

• Resists thermal and chemical decomposition, helps reduce sludge formation, and ensures system cleanliness and reliability.
• Maintains high stability in the presence of moisture, helping to increase oil life and reduce the risk of corrosion and rust in wet environments.
• Viscosity stabilizing additives help minimize changes in oil properties throughout the oil change cycle.

2. Outstanding anti-wear protection

• Meets the requirements of modern hydraulic systems, including the ability to withstand extreme pressure in the FZG test (reaching FLS 11 or higher since ISO VG 32).
• Demonstrates outstanding performance in the harsh Denison T6H20C test (dry and wet) and meets Eaton Vickers 35VQ25 standards.
• Helps prolong the life of components in the hydraulic system.

3. Maintain system performance

• Excellent filtration ability and outstanding water separation, air release, and anti-foaming properties, help maintain or improve hydraulic system performance.
• High cleanliness meets ISO 4406 - 20/18/15 (measured before packaging), helping to reduce contamination and filter clogging.
• Optimize friction properties, reduce jerking, helping the system operate more smoothly.
• Excellent air release and anti-foam formula, helps optimize force transfer and minimizes negative effects from air bubbles that cause oxidation.

1. Portable/outdoor hydraulic system

• Shell Tellus S2 VX provides superior temperature and viscosity stability compared to ISO HM grade hydraulic oils, helping to improve operating performance.

Compatibility & Mixing

1. Compatibility with other oils

• Shell Tellus S2 VX is compatible with most other mineral hydraulic oils.
• Should not be mixed with other oils (e.g. environmentally friendly hydraulic oils or fire-resistant hydraulic oils).

2. Compatibility with paint, gaskets, and seals

• Compatible with common gasket, seal and paint materials used for mineral oils.

1. Health & Safety

• Shell Tellus S2 VX does not pose a significant hazard if used as recommended.
• Avoid skin contact. If contact occurs, wash immediately with soap and water.

2. Environmental protection

• Collect used oil to designated collection points.
• Do not discharge into sewers, ground or water sources.

Wide temperature range operation

Viscosity index of 135 and pour point of about -51 to -54°C help the oil start well when cold and keep the oil film stable when hot.
