GLYSANTIN® has expanded its extensive range of premium coolants with the introduction of the GLYSANTIN® WIND series – a product line developed specifically for the wind energy sector.

This series includes both traditional high-performance coolants made from virgin monoethylene glycol (MEG) and certified recycled variants produced using reclaimed MEG.

In addition to conventional solutions, GLYSANTIN® now also offers specialized product families such as GLYSANTIN® ECO and ELECTRIFIED®, which deliver cutting-edge, sustainability-driven solutions tailored to the evolving demands of modern and future mobility systems.

The WIND series is specifically designed for high-efficiency industrial applications, ensuring maximum performance and reliability in generators, power electronics, and hydraulic systems — making it exceptionally well-suited for the stringent operational needs of wind turbines.

A Closer Look at the GLYSANTIN® WIND Series

The GLYSANTIN® WIND product range includes both conventional coolants derived from fossil-based feedstocks and a forward-thinking, circular solution: WIND ECO LOOP. Through the integrated BASF Verbund approach, we are reimagining resource utilization to extend the value and lifecycle of raw materials.

The GLYSANTIN® WIND ECO LOOP line stands out as the first-ever certified recycled coolant series approved for use in wind turbines. Over 99% of the MEG used in these products is replaced with recycled MEG sourced from end-of-life coolant systems. This circular model significantly cuts MEG waste and reduces reliance on fossil resources.

Compared to non-recycled coolants made with virgin MEG, products in the ECO LOOP range can reduce total CO₂ emissions by at least 50% throughout their lifecycle. Additionally, these products are independently certified by TÜV Nord under the REDcert² sustainability certification scheme, enabling customers to make verified, environmentally responsible choices.
