Chevron Taro Ultra Advanced 40 marine lubricants receive LNG Validation from WinGD, ensuring superior engine protection for low-sulfur fuels. The certification highlights Chevron’s innovation in emission-compliant lubrication solutions.
Chevron Taro Ultra Advanced 40 marine lubricants have been awarded LNG Validation by Swiss marine energy company WinGD. This certification applies to all WinGD LNG-fired engines, following the company’s previous No Objection Letter (NOL) approval for all of its gas-fired engines.

Taro Ultra Advanced 40 is designed to enhance engine protection, especially for large low-speed marine diesel engines. The new product line helps maintain piston cleanliness while providing robust cylinder lubrication for engines using fuels with low to near-zero sulfur content, including VLSFO, ULSFO, LNG, and Methanol. This is a critical requirement as the maritime industry gradually adapts to new regulations mandating lower emissions and the use of various fuel types.
The rigorous product testing process, conducted in collaboration with WinGD, has demonstrated the product's compatibility with modern engines equipped with emission-reduction technology. Receiving certification from both WinGD and MAN further solidifies Chevron's position as a provider of innovative lubrication solutions that meet market demands and global regulatory requirements.
